MILFORD — The Connecticut Young Professionals (CTYP) will host “Meet the Mayor” on Tuesday, June 9 at 6:30 PM at Stonebridge Restaurant featuring Milford Mayor Ben Blake. Mayor Blake will speak about initiatives the City of Milford is taking on to attract young professionals and how young professionals can get more involved with the City.
A great opportunity for young people from around the state, the event is intended to educate attendees about all Milford has to offer. The Mayor will address concerns and issues that many young professionals are facing.
“I look forward to meeting young professionals, both from Milford, and from outside of Milford, who are interested in learning about all out City has to offer,” commented Mayor Blake.
CTYP held a similar, very successful event in the City of New Haven in February featuring Mayor Toni Harp. Mayor Harp shared her vision for New Haven and highlighted important ways in which young professionals could play a role in improving the City.
Formed in early 2014, CTYP is an organization for individuals between the ages of 21 and 40. CTYP is a platform used for establishing connections between young professionals in Connecticut, with an aim to build as large a network as possible and promote Connecticut as a destination for young people.
